Uganda Wildlife Society is a non-profit and non-government organisation registered in Uganda, members of the Uganda Animals Society hope to contribute to the peaceful coexistence of wildlife and people in Uganda and beyond. To promote animal and environmental protection via advocacy, information production, and field demonstrations. The missions underline UWS's existence as a conservation advocate and facilitator, with an emphasis on animals and the environment. Wildlife and other natural resources should be used in a sustainable manner. The long-term goal for all UWS programs and activities is sustainable resource use, which is a driving factor behind the majority of conservation problems. Moreover, their goal is to create knowledge about wildlife and natural resources and to offer the government, the corporate sector, and other civil society groups accurate, non-biased environmental information, raising environmental awareness among Ugandans to develop a knowledge of the relationship between livelihoods and the sustainable use of wildlife and natural resources and to strengthen UWS's capacity, visibility, and impact as a leading conservation NGO in Uganda.
