Chimpanzee Trust

Chimpanzee Trust is a non-profit and non-government organisation and its main goal is to retain Chimpanzees in their natural habitats, must be conserved indefinitely, and those who cannot live in the wild must be cared for for in captivity. They believe Chimpanzee Trust places a high value on the well-being of the chimpanzees who live at their refuge as well as those that remain in their natural environment. They think the two are inextricably linked, and the well-being of the entire species serves as our guiding philosophy. This trust has grown to become a leading organization in the area’s environmental conservation for chimpanzees, they mainly focus on care and welfare of rescued chimps, increased public awareness regarding chimps as they are a key flagship species, and engagement with communities living alongside chimp populations. To maintain high levels of public trust, their team strives for excellence in the execution of all responsibilities as well as personal behavior. The main specialty of this trust is to conserve chimps without compromising on ethics and standards. Most importantly by the end of 2023, they are going to maintain stable chimpanzees’ population in the Northern Albertine Rift.
